Ferrara’s Airport 9th/10th September ‘06

There are many reasons to visit the city of Ferrara, from the artistic treasure through the typical delightful cuisine, but at the end of this summer, there will be an excellent reason more “to fly” to Ferrara!
On 9th and 10th September 2006, at the civic airport will take place the 1st Ferrara Air Show, an occasion of meeting, knowledge and learning for all the keens on flight or simply for people who are curious to approach to the wide sports flight’s world.
Ferrara Air Show, promoted by the Flying club “Roberto Fabbri” Ferrara, in cooperation with “Parachuting School Ferrara” and “Sail Flying Club Ferrara”, will be the setting of the “34th CAP Meeting” (Popular Aviation Club), the event, which gathers, since 1973, the enthusiast constructors of flying machines, people who are infected by passion for flight and through the self-manufacture of their own machine, found the solution to continue or to start flying in a creative and cheap way. CAP members are a mix of aviators, engineers and inventors; it’s sufficient to remember that aircrafts, like the “Bèbè Jodel”, have been industrially produced.
The progress made in the last years, using techniques and more sophisticated materials, had an important expression in restoration field, promoting the aeronautic culture’s diffusion and collecting an increasing number of self constructors, proud to show their own “jewels” in action. All this will happen during the two-days show, with spectacular and acrobatic performances showing off the pilot’s ability.
The programme includes many propaganda flights for people who desire to fly off across the clouds and acrobatic parachute jumps performed by the parachutists of the “Parachuting School Ferrara”.
Fun is assured also for people who prefer to remain with their feet on the ground thanks to the aircraft models performance and technical demonstration of construction without forgetting the wide exhibition of participant’s aircrafts and the interesting exhibition area where you will find components, accessories and above all many kits for the self construction of the aircraft.
